Ned White is an author, freelance writer, photographer, crossword puzzle constructor, collector of stories and anecdotes, and an avid devotee of really good home-cooking. An inveterate road-tripper, he’s dined in 49 states, lived in seven of them, and has settled at last in South Thomaston, Maine in 2012 with his wife Carla. Neither of them has any interest in living anywhere else.
This column is about many of the curiosities of his traveling experiences – the people, places, cultural quirks and humorous encounters – along with favorite recipes that are (usually) easy to prepare, and absolutely delicious.
It’s worth noting that the landscape shown in the blog’s title banner is the view he and his wife shared from their former home in Taos, New Mexico, facing west at sunset.
